Our Mission 

Bronx Action (BA) is a member-led Bronx-wide political organization rooted in creating an economy that works for everyone and dismantles systemic racism. Through robust civic engagement and participatory democracy, grassroots organizing, and winning elections, Bronx Action is cementing governing power that will reap long-lasting transformational change for Bronxites. 

Our Vision 

It’s imperative that the fight for racial, economic, and environmental justice must also be waged in the electoral arena if we are to realize long-term transformational change. To that end, we see electoral politics as a key terrain to advance progressive values that cements the foundation for governing power at the local level. As a Bronx-wide political civic engagement powerhouse, we integrate long-term issue campaigning and winning elections to realize racial, economic, and environmental justice. Given the movement of resistance locally and nationally, there’s a huge hunger for everyday people that want to exercise political power for progressive change, not only by making demands from the margins but by sitting at the governing table and engaging in the politics of governing. Bronx Action is the vehicle for this kind of participatory democracy and we are committed to an economy that works for everyone and dismantles systemic racism while uplifting our dignity.
